MelodyBolt and JustOurSong both let you hear a preview of your song before you pay. The difference is what happens after the preview: how much of the full song you can still change, how it's finished, and what you can do if it isn't the one.
This review is published by JustOurSong. Details about MelodyBolt were checked on its website, FAQ, terms of service and song form, up to its payment step, in October 2026, along with MelodyBolt reviews on Trustpilot.
The Short Version
MelodyBolt can suit you if a 60-second preview is enough to be sure and one of its genres fits. JustOurSong is the choice when you want a free redo and 30 days to be sure after you've heard the whole song, more genres, and a radio-ready finish.
Key takeaways
- Before you pay: both play you a free preview. With JustOurSong you also choose from more genres, like bachata, mariachi, Latin pop and a cinematic ballad.
- How it's made: JustOurSong stands behind the full song, not just the first minute: it's written from scratch, checked with studio-grade quality control and finished with a radio-ready master. MelodyBolt's terms say it doesn't guarantee songs will be free from errors or meet expectations beyond what the preview shows.
- After delivery: JustOurSong's free redo for minor or major changes to the lyrics or the music comes after delivery, and so does its 30-day money-back guarantee, download or not. MelodyBolt gives you one free edit before you pay, and its terms say it generally doesn't refund completed purchases.
Platform Overview
MelodyBolt
MelodyBolt builds a song from a five-step form: the occasion and their name; your relationship, your story, special moments and the emotions to convey; a genre, a tempo and a male or female voice, with an optional artist or song for inspiration; your email; then a review. A few minutes later it plays 60-second previews of two versions, with one free edit, and the full songs unlock as MP3s once you pay. Previews are deleted after 7 days.
JustOurSong
With JustOurSong, the preview is where the decision starts, not where your options end: a free redo and 30 days to get your money back come after it. The song itself comes from a short guide about who it's for, the occasion, the genre, the vocalist, the vibe and your memories. Every song is written from scratch, lyrics never reused, in many genres, like country, bachata, mariachi, Latin pop, cinematic ballads and others, and mastered to sound like it belongs on the radio. JustOurSong plays a free preview before you pay, and the finished song arrives by email as a link to a private song page where you can play it, share it and download the high-quality MP3 and the lyrics.

What Happens After the Preview?
MelodyBolt's preview is 60 seconds of a song that runs 3 to 4 minutes. Before you pay, you get one free edit: a quick fix to a word or a line, or a new story that makes a brand new song. Its order summary then asks you to check the lyrics for mistakes before paying, and to go back to that free edit if you spot one.
Once you've bought, its terms say it generally doesn't offer refunds for completed purchases, apart from technical problems with delivery, because you heard the preview first.
JustOurSong's guarantee runs for 30 days. If the song isn't right for you, email JustOurSong and you get a full refund. JustOurSong's 30 days apply even after you've downloaded the MP3, and its free redo covers minor or major changes to the lyrics or the music.
If you want to hear the whole song and still have options, JustOurSong is the safer pick.
What You Can Shape Before You Pay
With JustOurSong you choose:
- The genre: many to choose from, like country, classic rock, alt rock, soul, jazz, indie pop, Christian, a cinematic ballad, bachata, mariachi and others
- The vocalist and the vibe: upbeat and happy, soulful and deep, romantic, funny, or epic and powerful
- The details: nicknames, inside jokes, the first apartment, the song from the kitchen
MelodyBolt's form offers 11 genres: pop, rock, rap/hip-hop, country, R&B/soul, acoustic, jazz, electronic, classical, gospel/worship and reggae, with a tempo and a male or female voice. There's no Latin style like bachata or mariachi, and no cinematic ballad.
If the song should be a bachata for the dance floor or a cinematic ballad for the first dance, JustOurSong is the stronger pick.
How It Sounds When You Press Play
Every JustOurSong song gets:
- A natural songwriting structure: verses, and a chorus they'll hum for days
- Studio-grade quality control before it reaches you
- A radio-ready master that sounds full on a phone, in the car or over the speakers at the party
MelodyBolt's terms say it doesn't guarantee songs will be free from errors or meet expectations beyond what is heard in the preview. JustOurSong checks every song before it reaches you.
If the song has to sound finished the first time they press play, JustOurSong is the one to choose.
What Customers Say

I probably listened to it 4 or 5 times back to back and cried each time.
I had to have it redone and it was to perfection!
Macia says the song "exceeded every expectation I had," and Lilian was "crying when listening to it." Read more JustOurSong reviews.
MelodyBolt is rated 4.6 on Trustpilot from 81 reviews. Its 1 to 3 star reviews mention a full song that didn't live up to the preview and a refund that was refused, lyrics that weren't quite as written, and a music video add-on that disappointed. When you want to be covered after the full song plays, not just before, JustOurSong's 5 stars are the stronger bet.
