At first glance, the two look alike. You share your story, hear a free preview, and get a song written about the person you love. Both have plenty of happy customers. The difference shows up in how much you can shape the song, how it's finished, and what happens after you pay.

The Short Version
Unique Song can be a good choice when you know exactly what you want before you buy and only expect to fix a name or a small detail. JustOurSong is the choice when the song has to be a hit on the day: the one they play on repeat, that makes the room go quiet before the happy tears start.
Key takeaways
- Before you pay: both let you hear a free preview. With JustOurSong you also shape the song first: a wider range of genres, the vocalist, the vibe, and any occasion, from a proposal to a song in memory of someone.
- How it's made: a JustOurSong song starts from a blank page: the lyrics are written for your story alone, then checked with studio-grade quality control and mastered to play like a radio single. Lyrics are never reused.
- After delivery: JustOurSong's free redo covers small fixes and big rewrites alike, to the lyrics or the music, and its 30-day money-back guarantee still stands once the song is delivered. Unique Song's refund policy gives no refund once the song is delivered.
- For the reveal: JustOurSong also offers a YouTube video add-on, so everyone from the kids to Grandma can play the song in one tap, even on the TV.
Platform Overview
Unique Song
Unique Song writes a custom song from a short quiz about your person and the occasion. It plays you a free preview within minutes, then asks for a one-time payment to unlock the full song, sent by private link.
JustOurSong
JustOurSong writes every song around one story, yours, so each one is written from scratch and its lyrics are never reused. A short guide asks who the song is for, the occasion, the genre, the vocalist and the vibe, then the memories only you know. With many genres to choose from, like country, alt rock, R&B, jazz, Christian and others, the sound fits them as closely as the words do. JustOurSong plays you a free preview before you pay, and the finished song, mastered to sound like it belongs on the radio, arrives by email as a link to a private song page, where you can play it, share it and download the high-quality MP3 and the lyrics.

What You Can Shape Before You Pay
With JustOurSong you choose:
- The genre: many to choose from, like country, classic rock, alt rock, soul, jazz, indie pop, Christian, a cinematic ballad, bachata, mariachi and others
- The vocalist and the vibe: upbeat and happy, soulful and deep, romantic, funny, or epic and powerful
- The occasion: a birthday, anniversary, proposal, wedding, graduation, apology, Christmas, New Year, a song in memory of someone, just because, or any moment you describe in your own words
- The details: nicknames, inside jokes, the first apartment, the song from the kitchen
Unique Song also writes from your story. Its quiz offers pop, country, rock, R&B, jazz, worship and rap, a male or female voice, and no choice of mood.
If the song needs to sound like them, whether that's their favourite rock band or a slow jazz evening, JustOurSong is the stronger pick.
How It Sounds When You Press Play
Every JustOurSong song gets:
- A natural songwriting structure: verses, and a chorus they'll hum for days
- Studio-grade quality control before it reaches you
- A radio-ready master that sounds full on a phone, in the car or over the speakers at the party
Unique Song promises a studio-quality recording. Some of its reviewers mention names that were sung wrong, or edits that took several emails to get done.
If everyone will be listening when it plays, JustOurSong is the pick you can count on.
